An Open Letter To My Constituents

Dear Constituents,
Over the last few weeks I have been subjected to an extensive personal attack by my political opponents as a result of certain legislation that I have introduced in the House of Commons on behalf of the federal government.
But it is perfectly fine for your government to engage in creating a police state where the citizens have no rights to personal privacy - only you huh? And accusing the NDP without any proof of being the ones who gave the public the divorce information of which they are legally entitled to as it is public information and therefore not the criminal act that you have decided it must be is what, not a temper tantrum? Is accusing a party or person of an act for which you have no proof not liable??
These attacks, which have included criminal acts and threats of criminal acts against me and my family, have been referred to the police for investigation. Any further criminal activity or threats of criminal activity against me or my family will also be referred to the police.
Proof? Examples? I hardly believe that people faxing their grocery lists to your office or pre-empting your spying via twitter by informing you of what they are doing is criminal. Try again Vic - no one is buying the sob story!

Conviction
In 2005, Toews was charged with violating Manitoba's Election Finances Act in the 1999 provincial election. During the election cycle, it was discovered that his election campaign had spent $7,500 more than the allowed limit. Toews pleaded guilty, and was later convicted and fined $500.[11][12]
As my constituents I would like you to know that the personal attacks, criminal acts and threats of future criminal acts against me will not dissuade me from carrying out my responsibilities as an elected Member of the House of Commons and as the Minister of Public Safety for Canada.
We the people did not vote to lose our pensions and have our human rights eroded to a chorus of temper tantrums by the ultimate creeper in the House of Commons.
The personal attacks against me are based on allegations contained in affidavits filed in the course of my divorce proceedings a number of years ago. The affidavits are on the public record and filed with the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench. These allegations have been the basis of prior personal attacks against me and I assume they will form the basis of attacks against me for many years to come.

Divorce
In 2008, Toews divorced from his wife of 30 years, Lorraine Kathleen Fehr, after it was discovered that he fathered a child with a younger woman who may have been his child's babysitter.[4][5][6][7]This incident later became publicized in February 2012, when an anonymous Twitter account began revealing information from Toews' divorce affidavit as reaction to the introduction of Bill-30.[8][9][10]
Anyone out there in the blog-o-sphere have any idea how old this babysitter was? Who's the pedo now vic?
I want you to know that I have never responded publicly to the specific allegations made in these affidavits nor will I ever do so. I will be fully accountable for any responsibility that I bear for the breakdown of my previous marriage but that accountability is not something I owe to the public generally or to my political opponents in particular. It is a personal accountability which I cannot avoid nor do I seek to do so.
To not respond to the allegations while attempting to maintain or claim accountability is a bit of an oxymoron do you not think? How about some real accountability? How many kids do you really have Vic? Why have you not paid your child support Vic? How old was the babysitter really Vic? What are you doing with your tax-payer funded Blackberry and internet accounts Vic?
However, I do want you to know that I have a spouse and a young son who I love more than life itself.
The other night, while I was reading my favourite poet, William Butler Yeats, I came across these lines:
'Yet they that know all things but know That all this life can give us is A child's laughter, a woman's kiss.''
How old should that 'woman' be Vic?
No words could ever describe my love for my young son and my spouse any better. What a fortunate man I am to have them in my life.
And again Vic, the other kids?????
